08 June 2006 Well, now that I've completely freaked out...
Poor MC. I was in touch with her yesterday, freaking out a little about the fact that in her third maiden race Daisy had only run 5th...and did that mean she was coming home soon? I have been doing a lot of thinking now that I have a potential move to Alabama on the table and I've been trying to make sure that I do what is best for all my pups, Daisy included...even if that means letting her go because my situation is not right to bring her into my pack.
I just knew when I saw that 5th place that it was all over and she would be retired. What I didn't know was that if a dog doesn't break maiden with a win and hits 2 years old they are automatically promoted to D. Daisy will be 2 in August! She's running pretty fast for Orlando I think, she just gets bumped out. But she's back on the card for Saturday afternoon, third race/sixth box so we'll see. I used to think that she liked the outside boxes better (1-2 and 5-6) but her win at SOKC was in the number 3 box so I give up. Just run hard and fast and ITM babygirl. I know you can do it.
