27 March 2006 Still Waiting...for Daisy...
I just checked the JAX site and Daisy still hasn't been put back on the schedule. Maybe they're waiting for another schooling race, since she didn't do so well in her first two Maidens? Rest well, baby girl. I'll be cheering you on as soon as you're back on track!
Oh my word, back on track? I crack myself up...

22 March 2006 Second Maiden Race
So we didn't do so well again today...unless you follow my theory of coming in DEAD last as a way of being the best at what she's doing...
Bohemian Ban 31.89 66 Drove Past Leader WideI missed the race today because it was a matinee, but here are some comments from folks who saw her run: Trish, the Pixie Fairy of Happiness: Good try Daisy! You just gotta break and stay in there with them sweetie! Man when she figures this out she is going to be a CONTENDA! Did you see her monster stride! Per: Nice try Daisy! She broke well, and seemed a little tenative in the turn, of course the big traffic jam ahead of her did NOT help. Seems to me she wanted to run midtrack to outside. I hope she gets an outside box next time. GOOD TRY DAISY!!!A link to today's race is can be found here.

Breaking Maiden Take Two
Daiz goes out this afternoon for her second maiden race with a post time of 1:10. She's the number 2 dog in the third race. You can watch the race live (or click on the Vault for a replay later) by clicking here. Additionally, to see an online version of the program you can click here.
Run fast and safe, Babygirl!!! In addition, Daisy's littermate Casey (FTH Hurrycane)is running tomorrow night and he is just blistering up the oval at Orange Park. In fact, he's the one that bumped Daiz in her first schooling race! Check out his program page here. Casey is a big lovebug who gave me a bruise when I met him in the kennel because he blindsided me with a bodyslam/hug. What a big goofy FAST boy!

20 March 2006 Mornin' Daisy!
She didn't do that well in her first official race on Saturday. But I tell ya, that girl's gonna be the best at whatever she does, so when she comes in last she is DEAD last...Here are the results from Rosnet this time because the Jax site is currently down. I'll post a link to the replay and get a cleaner chart for the race once it comes back up.
Next race is on the 22nd!!

14 March 2006 More Daisy Tails...mental note: no water!
Per:
Yes, take it from me...I found first hand that Daisy HATES the water.Mama Cathie: Hey Per? Tony also said that Daisy slipped out of her purple daisy collar last night. Feel better? But Daisy doesn't run she just snaps herself right out and then stands there. Of course, we are expecting it so she gets grabbed immediately, but still... she's not doing it to run away, just get away from the mean water. She and her sister Jeany of "Stands at a 45 degree angle away from the ocean and leaning toward the hotel" fame will get along just fine. My little stinker...who is running in her first official race this Saturday!!! She will be the number three dog in the fifth race. I will be the number one nervous wreck on the other side of the monitor. Go babygirl go!!!

(she didn't like getting sprayed off after the race). She's got ATTITUDE, says Tony! now she just needs to speed it up a bit. From my good friend Per: DAISY ran off the track, and started kicking sand in ICEE's eyes!! 09 March 2006 Me and Daisy
This is another of my favorites even though it's mostly me and my chins and not nearly enough Daiz. You can't tell it because of the Monster Eyes but Daiz was looking right at me and had just sniffed my nose when Anne snapped this one.
She races her second schooling race tonight, tune in with me here to watch at 6pm. She will be the number 8 dog in the 9th schooling race, and they are not announced so you just have to watch and count.

Daisy's premiere collar
This collar matches one that my Jeany has. It's so funny, I don't really even like pink but doesn't this look just stunning on her?
I mean anything would really, she's gorgeous, but...wow.

Daisy's current home
My girly in her crate, safe from the scary lady aka Super Monkey that brought her a soft blankie and made her try on three new collars...she's wearing the sunflower one and you can see the daisy one hanging with her red muzzle.

Hey Daisy-Girl
Daisy and I share a quiet moment, me contemplating swimming in the pools of her eyes and she contemplating biting the nose of the crazy woman that keeps trying to climb in her crate with her...

01 March 2006 Watch This Space...
This weekend is Sandy Paws on Jekyll Island, GA, and following that I get to meet DAISY!! Watch this space for pupdates and the zillions and zillions of pictures of my sweet baby girl and me...I can hardly believe it.
I've almost made the incredibly hard decision to give Daisy Lizzard's healing blanket from Circle of Grey. Part of me wants to keep it forever so that I never lose her...but the fact is that she's gone, and to keep it here makes me kinda sad. I have a feeling that it will be safe with Daisy...she's not a puppy living out in the wilds of Florida anymore (LOL) and I think that Lizzard would want to take care of our new little girl until she can come home and I can take care of her as my own. We'll see. The blanket is in the dryer now. But anyway, back to the good news, stay tuned, meeting Daisy is only four days away now!
