15 August 2006 Post Birthday Blitz
Sophie and Casey ran yesterday, 8/14. Sophie only managed 5th place, with a time of 31.59. From her comments it looks like she didn't break well and just never got it back. Casey finished ITM with third place, and was only 00.01 behind the second place dog with a time of 31.30.
Daisy and Hallie are slated to run again on Thursday, 8/17. Daisy is in the tenth race, second box, and Hallie is in the seventh race, fourth box. This is my babygirl's first time out in grade B!

11 August 2006 Birfday Runners
DaisyGirl and Hallie have drawn in to run on their birthday! Tomorrow the Leelo Babies turn two years old...I'm so amazed. I remember the virtual crowd at their birth on Grey Talk...I remember the suggestion that the first female puppy born be called Oopsie Daisy because the litter was an "oops" breeding...I can't believe it's been two years and I could NOT be prouder of how my babygirl is tearing up the track at SOKC. Fingers and paws crossed that she will just continue to do better and better!!!
Anyway, on to the whos and whens... Hallie: 8/12 matinee card, race 14 box 7 (her first outing in GRADE A!!!) Daisy: 8/12 evening card, race 10 box 1 Casey: 8/14 matinee card, race 14 box 5 Sophie: 8/14 matinee card, race 11 box 8 Go kids go!!!

08 August 2006 Well Done Babygirl! FIRST RACE Grade C 5-16 Mile Track F Time 31.20Hallie did very well today pulling out a win in grade B. Casey had a bit of trouble, apparently blocked and pushed out and finishing in 6th place. As for Miss Bad Ass Bonnie, the report is that she is over her tummy bug and is probably getting a bit of extra training before trying to get out of maiden again since she was under the weather for so long. Also...in four days these "kids" will turn two years old. Man...wasn't it just yesterday that folks on GT were suggesting Oopsie Daisy for the first girl born's name since it was an "oops" breeding?? How can she already be almost two?

Next Up, Triple Threat Tuesday
Once again Daisy, Casey, and Hallie have all drawn in on the same night. Here's the line up for tonight at SOKC:
Daisy: 1st Race, 3rd box (grade C) Hallie: 5th Race, 4th box (grade B) Casey: 7th race, 2nd box (grade A) Sophie runs on Wednesday in the matinee card, 2nd race/3rd box (grade D). Bonnie has still not been added back to a card and I haven't gotten any new information on her healing up after a bad tummy bug. Here's hoping she's right as rain soon and can make a nice comeback to the oval...or a nice headstart to her forever couch.

01 August 2006 Who's on First...Second, and Third!!!
Three Leelo Babies in one night! Almost as good as the night that nearly ALL of the Leelos and Carlas ran their first schooling races back in March...
Anyway, here's who is up Thursday night: Daisy: Race four, box 5 Hallie: Race ten, box 3 Casey: Race twelve, box 1 Daisy is still hanging on in grade C, after finishing ITM (fourth) in her last attempt. I'm hoping that since apparently the outer boxes take her too far away from the rail to get back in good, maybe the 5 box will be a little better. Hallie is still running in grade B, after a "dead heat for show" last time. Casey's sticking it out in grade A, and should be able to shoot right to the rail if he breaks well. Go Babies Go!!! (I'll add Sophie and Bonnie once they show up again on a card.) Edited to add that Miss Sophie Sox will be running Saturday afternoon, 8/5, in the first race/fourth box. I guess Bonnie is not quite ready to run after her tummy troubles...
