28 June 2006 Good on ya, pups!
Hallie pulled out a win Saturday night, with a time of 31.25. She's racing in Grade C now! Sophie came in fourth in her race Saturday, in a photo finish for third. The third place dog had a time of 31.52 and Sophie's was 31.54. Good job girls!!
Casey almost made it, coming in second place in his Grade A race with a time of 31.13. Darn these pups are quick when they want to be!! Here's hoping Daiz can do as well as her siblings today. Go babygirl go!

27 June 2006 There's my babygirl...
Daisy will be running tomorrow, 6/28, in the 8th race on the matinee card. She will be the number 3 dog. Here's hoping that will give her easy access to the rail and smooth sailing to a win! (or ITM finish, I'm not picky...)
Go babygirl go!! Just looked at the program page for her race, by the way, and "Chartman" has picked her for the win! Don't know if that's good or bad...

24 June 2006 Up Next...
Casey will be running Tuesday night, 6/27. He will be the number 1 dog in the 12th race. Here's hoping he can prove that his last place finish last time was just a fluke!
Hallie and Sophie are running tonight, 6/24. Hallie will be in the 10th race, number 8 hole, and Sophie will be in the 6th race, number 5 hole. Bonnie ran last night, 6/23, and pulled out an ITM finish just barely, coming in fourth place with a time of 32.15. Gotta step that up a little, Bonnie Boo! It's very odd that Daisy isn't on the list for Tuesday night, as she and Casey have been in the same rotation just like Hallie and Sophie are. I hope she hasn't come down with the kennel cough that's making the rounds of the Florida tracks...I'll check with MC and see. Good luck Casey, Hallie, and Sophie!!!

20 June 2006 Girls' Night Out
Hallie and Sophie both pulled out impressive wins last night! Hallie came in with a time of 30.95 and Sophie blistered past even that with a time of 30.89. Well done girls!
Daisy and Casey run Wednesday evening. Casey will be the lucky number 7 dog in the 7th race, and Daisy will be the number 3 dog in the 11th race. This is Daisy's first try at grade D...I know you can pull out an ITM babygirl, and I'm hoping for a win! In other news, Dodger is doing VERY well in his new home. Yay Dodger!!

17 June 2006 Maiden has Broken!
(apologies to Cat Stevens...)
THIRD RACE Grade M 5-16 Mile Track F Time 31.12 In other news, Casey also won last night, with a time of 30.79!! He's moved up to Grade B...when did that happen?? Way to go Moose! Here's hoping Daiz will follow in his big ole footsteps... Hallie and Sophie will both be running on Monday night. Hallie will be in race 11, box 3 and Sophie will be in race 2, box 6. Run fast and safe girls!!!

16 June 2006 Welcome home, Dodger!!!
The first of the Leelo pups has retired! FTH Storm Dodger knew what he was doing the first time he hit the track...and came in last. He was working to get to go home with his new Momma Kimmy.
From a babe in Anne's arms: To a handsome boy in Kim's yard: Welcome Home, Dodger.

15 June 2006 Three, oh Three is the Magic Number...
Has anyone else but me noticed that Daisy has been in the third race almost every time she shows up on a card at SOKC?

Back on the Card Again and Headed for Home
Daiz is up Friday night, 6/16, in the number 3 race. She will be the number 2 dog. That position did well for her last time so here's hoping she can step it up and pull out a win to get out of Maiden!
Casey will also be running Friday night in the number 2 race, 6 hole. On Wednesday Sophie came in 5th with a time of 31.51. She's running in D now, so the dogs are a little faster. Hallie pulled out a 3rd place with a time of 31.37, also running in D. Good girl Hallie, that's ITM!! Kim and her daughter go to pick up Dodger this morning (in fact they should have been there and gone by now!) and take him home! Yay Dodger...you worked hard toward retirement, m'boy, enjoy it!!

13 June 2006 Updates and Homecomings
Bonnie Boo ran today, third race, 4th hole during the matinee card. She took third (ITM!!!) with a time of 31.84. Formerly known as "Bad Ass Bonnie," she is racing at SEVENTY POUNDS. These pups are HUGE!!
Hallie and Sophie run on Wednesday, 6/14 in the matinee races. Hallie is in the eleventh race, 6th hole. Sophie is in the 4th race, also in the 6th hole. As of tonight Daisy and Casey have not been added to a card, but they both just ran on Saturday so that's not surprising. Casey won his race with a time of 30.79..."Moose" is racing at EIGHTY POUNDS. Holy smack. Dodger will hopefully be released from the adoption kennel at Jax on Thursday so that he can go home with his new mommy Kim and skin-sister Kait. Jax has been under kennel cough quarantine for several weeks, so we're all crossing our fingers that he will be able to head home Thursday. Be a good boy, Dodger!!

08 June 2006 Well, now that I've completely freaked out...
Poor MC. I was in touch with her yesterday, freaking out a little about the fact that in her third maiden race Daisy had only run 5th...and did that mean she was coming home soon? I have been doing a lot of thinking now that I have a potential move to Alabama on the table and I've been trying to make sure that I do what is best for all my pups, Daisy included...even if that means letting her go because my situation is not right to bring her into my pack.
I just knew when I saw that 5th place that it was all over and she would be retired. What I didn't know was that if a dog doesn't break maiden with a win and hits 2 years old they are automatically promoted to D. Daisy will be 2 in August! She's running pretty fast for Orlando I think, she just gets bumped out. But she's back on the card for Saturday afternoon, third race/sixth box so we'll see. I used to think that she liked the outside boxes better (1-2 and 5-6) but her win at SOKC was in the number 3 box so I give up. Just run hard and fast and ITM babygirl. I know you can do it.

06 June 2006 Daisy, Honey, I can still wait a little longer...
This is not good news...this is her third attempt at maiden...5th place isn't even in the money...I'll be waiting to see what MC and DB want to do at this point...

01 June 2006 We LOVE Auntie Janet!!!
Janet recently saw Daisy run at SOKC (the first maiden where she came in dead last?) and took some PICTURES!!! I've already posted one, but there are more...never enough of my babygirl, never. The last one cracks me up because it's just her heiney...but at the same time check out those muscles, wouldya? Babygirl's a BRICK HOUSE.
